| The rules of spread betting are very simple... |
| 1 - Open a spread
betting account. (click here) |
| 2 - Set a "per point" amount.
This is the amount of money you will win or lose per each point
the outcome is out from the spread. For example if the spread
was that Ian Botham would get 50 runs and he got 20 the difference
in the spread would be 30 points. |
| 3 - Decide whether you think the result
will be more than the "set spread" suggests or less. |
| 4 - If you think that the set spread is
too high you will sell it. |
| 5 - If you think that the set spread is
too low you will buy it. |
| 6 - You do not normally have to wait for
the end result to get out of a bet, just do the opposite
to your orignal bet midway through an event to cease trading. |
| 7 - You will be paid out or have to pay
based on the points difference of the result to the set spread. |
