Most of the people
believe that spread betting is quite complicated. However,
the fact is that it involves simple processes that can be
easily understood.
The spread betting firm initiates the process
by making a prediction about a particular aspect of the event,
like how many goals would be made in a football game. You have
to bet on this prediction being too high or too low. However,
if you feel the prediction hits the bull's eye then you don't
bet.
When you bet on the predictions you decide
on the size of your betting stake which determines the amount
you will ultimately win or lose. Your stake is multiplied by
your negative or positive variation from the final outcome,
i.e. with the factor determining how wrong or right you were.
There are three basic types of bets:
· Total number bets
· Supremacy and match bets
· Performance index bets
These bets can be made on varied types of sporting events
and matches.
These bets resolved on basis of totals of
various 'winner-declaring' numbers involved in the sporting
events. For example football goals, cricket runs, rugby points,
golf shots and many more.
