The secret to playing good seven card stud is to use the cards you have showing to outplay your opponents. You may for example have 4 high clubs showing on the board for all to see but no clubs in your 3 hidden cards. You now have NOTHING, howver your opponents do not know this and a good bluff would be in order here. The other trick to playing good seven card stud is to have a good memory. You use your memory to remember the cards that have been dealt to other players so they are gone from the deck, knowing this alters the odds of getting the card you want as it may no longer be available in the main deck.
