Can people See Your Cards Using online Software?

Is there any software that people can use to cheat and see your cards at online poker?
OK, so this next bit is a bit far fetched but it is the only known way to see an oppononents cards online. The odds of it happenning are remote though as you will see! There is a program on the market called TightVNC which makes it possible to see your opponents cards IF 1) they also have the program installed on their computer and 2) You know their IP address.
Here's what you do. Go to www.tightvnc.com download their software there, now you basically need to install it on the other persons computer. So in the night get down their chimney with a torch.... . Seriously though, now if this person can get this software onto the person who's cards he wants to see and get his IP address then he will be able from this point to now activate tightVNC to see the persons whole desktop and in turn cards on your pc.

There are many conspiracy theories about people being able to see your cards, in our experience though it is mostly an excuse by poorer players who consistently are losing money. The better players and many professionals who play online will not go along with this theory.Poker sites simply make too much money to have this sort of thing going on. Also, things like this are never secret for long in these industries and there is no known way to see peoples cards apart from the far fetched way above.
If you want to see how people CAN cheat you at poker, please read our sections on collusion , poker bots and odds calculators .
We will not go into this in greater detail as we do not wish to encourage the use of cheating with online poker.
