Some casino's have poker
rooms which allow you to play different forms of poker
against other players.
See
our detailed poker section for more information
Alternatively there is Caribbean Stud
Poker which is a casino poker game that is played against
the dealer. Please read our rules and guide below.
You are dealt five cards and have to make a
five card poker hand. Then you must decide of you think
it is beating the dealers "face down" hand and
bet or fold accordingly.
For more information on this please
see our rules section on carribean stud poker which can
be found by using the navigation menu on the top left of
the page.
There is no bluffing or other deception.
For these reasons, a lot of poker players do not consider
it to be a form of poker. (They do not necessarily feel
that it should not be called poker, but means merely that
they will not refer to it as simply "poker".
For instance, a gambler might say "I played poker" if
he played omaha hi low, but probably would not if he played
Caribbean stud.)
Each player and the dealer receive 5
cards, face down.
The dealer will turn over one of his
cards, then push the cards toward the players, after which
the players may look at their cards. They may only look
at their own cards.
Players have the option to play or
fold. If they choose to play, they place their bets in
the bet box.
If they choose to fold, they forfeit. After
all the players have made their decisions, the dealer
reveals his hole cards. The dealer only plays with an
ace/king or higher, then he compares his cards to the
players cards, and the best poker hand wins.
